How often is the position updated?
By default every 30 seconds while moving and every 5 minutes when stopped, configurable for each use case. For critical cases (medical vehicles, cash-in-transit, high speed) we go down to every 5 seconds at no extra hardware cost.
Can I create custom geofences?
Yes, with no limit. You draw polygons or circular radii on the map and choose which events they trigger: entry, exit, time inside, speed exceeded. Each geofence can send its own notifications to different people.
Does it work in areas with no coverage?
The Teltonika device stores GPS points in its internal memory when it loses mobile coverage and syncs them as soon as it gets a signal again. You don’t lose data in tunnels, industrial parks with no network or rural areas.
Does it also work for mobile assets with no driver (containers, machinery, pallets)?
Yes, and it’s one of the cases where the difference shows the most. The vehicle or crane that moves the assets carries an FMM003 or FMC003 tracker, and each container or part carries Eye Beacon Bluetooth tags (up to 5 years of battery life, no wiring).
